Tidal Sails receives Innovation Norway grant

We are pleased to announce that Tidal Sails has been awarded a grant of 490.000 NOK from Innovation Norway (IN) after receiving the European Commission’s Seal of Excellence this summer. The IN grant will cover costs of technical, commercial and financial feasibility analyses in preparation of TachReach market deployment, as described in our Horizon 2020 (H2020) SME Phase 1 project proposal which led the European Commission to issue its Seal of Excellence to Tidal Sails.

Following evaluation by an international panel of independent experts, the proposal was scored as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process, which means it passed all stringent H2020 assessment thresholds for the 3 award criteria (excellence, impact, quality and efficiency of implementation) required to receive funding from the EU budget H2020. Due to H2020 resources available for this specific call already having been allocated, the evaluation panel recommended the proposal for funding by other sources.
